In 2004/05, The Acting Company presented William Shakespeare’s riotous romp about the bonds of friendship and fidelity. Crazy clowns, baffled bandits, sassy servants and an unforgettable ill-mannered dog round out this rollicking comedy of disguise and deception.

Valentine and Proteus – The Two Gentlemen of Verona – are the very best of friends until Proteus follows Valentine to Milan and becomes enamored of Valentine’s girlfriend, the captivating Silvia. Forsaking his beloved Julia, Proteus embarks on a hilarious campaign to win his best friend’s girl. The situation becomes further complicated when Julia, disguised as a page, arrives in Milan.

Shakespeare uses brilliant language and his most ingenious plot twists to unravel this convoluted saga. In the end, love and friendship are reconciled.
