Pulitzer Prize-winner Beth Henley and Tony-winner John Guare plus noted playwrights Marcus Gardley, Rebecca Gilman, David Grimm and Elizabeth Egloff were commissioned by The Acting Company to adapt six Tennessee Williams short stories into a compelling evening of theater. Desire is the result and Michael Wilson, who recently directed The Trip to Bountiful and The Best Man on Broadway, directed what is an important contribution to the theater. Desire featured Acting Company alums Megan Bartle, Liv Rooth, John Skelley, Derek Smith and Yaegel T. Welch as well as Kristen Adele, Juliet Brett, Brian Cross and Mickey Theis.

By Marcus Gardley, a PEN/Laura Pels Awardee, is recognized for his poetry and plays such as ...And Jesus Moonwalks the Mississippi, The Box: A Black Comedy, and Every Tongue Confess.

You Lied to Me About Centralia
By John Guare, Tony and Olivier-Award winning playwright, who has written extensively for the theater including The House of Blue Leaves and Six Degrees of Separation.
