Congratulations to the company of Nambi E. Kelley's Native Son on their Drama League Award nomination for Outstanding Revival of a Play. 2020 Season Change and Postponement

I’m sure it comes as no surprise that we have been forced to cancel our summer season. While we are saddened that we cannot introduce you to the next company of emerging actors, we are excited for brighter days, leaving these dark ones behind. Great performances move us to see ourselves in a story or let us escape our own realities for a pocket of time, which, during this terrifying present, sounds pretty good to me. I look forward to offering that opportunity as soon as it is safe for our audiences, artists and staff.

On November 18, The Acting Company took home the 2019 Audelco Award for Best Play for its acclaimed New York premiere of Native Son, Nambi E. Kelley's adaptation of the novel by Richard Wright. The production was also reconized with nominations for Best Playwright, Director (Seret Scott), Lead Actor (Galen Ryan Kane and Jason Bowen), Featured Actress (Rosalyn Coleman), and Lighting (Alan C.
