Marvelously erudite and civilized.  — Brooks Atkinson

Marion Froude is one of New York’s favorite celebrity portrait artists and a woman way ahead of the feminist curve for whom a happy ending doesn’t necessarily involve wedding bells. Kurt, an ardent young magazine editor, wants to publish her autobiography, a prospect greeted with dismay and a bit of horror from a former lover and others who have succumbed to her charms.

S.N. BEHRMAN enjoyed a long and prolific career as a dramatist, author and contributor to The New Yorker. His plays (The Second Man, End of Summer) and movies (Quo Vadis, Fanny) featured some of the most important actors of the 20th Century: Alfred Lunt, Lynne Fontaine, Noel Coward, Katherine Cornell, Laurence Oliver and Greta Garbo.

Monday, April 6 at 7pm at the Pearl Theatre, 555 W. 42nd St. NYC.
