Staged Reading of BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE

December 15 at 7pm:
BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE by JOHN VAN DRUTEN
featuring four-time Oscar nominee MARSHA MASON and Tony nominee KATE BALDWIN
directed by TOM FONTANA (Borgia, Oz, Homicide)

at The Pearl Theatre, NYC

Completely enchanting — a suave and impish fantasy. — NY Times

A beautiful witch casts a spell over a publisher when she finds herself quite smitten. One small problem arises: witches cannot fall in love. Witty and urbane, it was a Broadway hit with Rex Harrison and a major film starring Kim Novak, James Stewart, Jack Lemmon, Hermione Gingold and Elsa Lanchester.

JOHN VAN DRUTEN was one of London’s most successful playwrights of the 1930s. In America, his I Remember Mama, The Voice of the Turtle and I Am A Camera (the basis for Cabaret) became enduring hits. He later directed the original production of The King and I.

Monday, December 15 at 7pm at the Pearl Theatre, 555 W. 42nd St. NYC.
