Stop Hate

The Acting Company offers unmitigated support to the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. We must stand up against hate crimes, Anti-Asian racism, xenophobia, bigotry, and misogyny as they are an attack on our values. 

We stand in solidarity with the AAPI community, especially among our staff, actors, artists, and collaborators. We have been using the resources below to educate ourselves and offer them as resource to our community.

All of us at The Acting Company join in solidarity with our artists, audiences and community to condemn and call for an end to systemic racism and unjust violence against Black Americans. We are angered by the racism and white supremacy that has led to the deaths of countless Black and Brown people. Acting Company Alumni Recognized During 2019 Awards Season

Andy Grotelueschen (Henry V, The Spy) received his first Tony nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a musical for Tootsie. Past collaborator Michael McElroy will receive a special Tony Honor. Numerous other members of the TAC family are also Tony-nominated, including directors Bartlett Sher and Jack O'Brien, composer Adam Guettel, and designers Fitz Patton, Howell Binkley, Jennifer Tipton, Paul Tazewell, William Ivey Long, and Clint Ramos. 

Alum Patti LuPone has been honored with an Olivier Award for her performance in Company on the West End.

PLAYBILL.COM The Acting Company to Present Nambi E. Kelley’s Native Son and Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure in 2019 BY RYAN MCPHEE NOV 13, 2018 The two plays will be performed in repertory at the Duke on 42nd Street in the summer.
