MARGOT HARLEY TO STEP DOWN AFTER 43 YEARS

Margot Harley, who cofounded The Acting Company with John Houseman in 1972, will step down as its Producer effective the end of this year. The Acting Company began with the first graduating class of Juilliard’s Drama Division, which included Kevin Kline, Patti LuPone, David Schramm and David Ogden Stiers. “They were classically trained, superbly talented and had worked together for four years,” stated Ms. Harley.

Time Warner’s NY1 produced a short piece about The Acting Company’s national tour for their new program On Stage Across America, a monthly TV show dedicated to the vast array of American theater including Broadway, Touring Broadway, Regional Theater and local High School productions from across the country. November 9th was the date and Capitale was the place to be as The Acting Company saluted Acting Company Co-Founder and Producer MARGOT HARLEY who is stepping down after 43 years of leadership and honored PAUL and TOM FONTANA with Joan Warburg Humanitarian Awards.
