Spotlight Series Events

Alumni Spotlight Series virtual events are led, written, directed, and performed by our acclaimed alumni actors, who over two generations have been at the forefront of theater, television and film. In this time of social distancing, events will be presented virtually on YouTube, making them accessible to a global audience.

A new play written and directed by alum Tom Alan Robbins, featuring Helen Cespedes (The School for Scandal) and founding member, Dakin Matthews (To Kill a Mockingbird). Muse explores the relationship of an established painter and the aspiring painter who is his model.

Anna in the Tropics

Winner of the 2003 Pulitzer Prize, Nilo Cruz’s Anna in the Tropics follows a family who owns and operates a cigar factory in Tampa Bay. When a new lector arrives and reads Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina the lives of the workers are forever changed.  Directed by alum Alejandro Rodriguez.
